My jewelry is a combination of many techniques and styles. I love to try new things and inspiration is everywhere.
My first pieces were inspired by a beautiful necklace I saw in a magazine. It was handmade, woven bead work and way above my budget. I always figured if someone could make something, then so could I. So I started researching and found instruction for various stitches and techniques. It was wonderful! I became obsessed!
One of the greatest thrills for me was when someone wanted to buy the necklace I was wearing. My first sell was right off my own neck in the middle of a store, to a complete stranger. My new career was launched!
Some of the techniques I use in making my jewelry include bead weaving, bead embroidery, stringing, wire-wrapping, tatting, crochet, macrame, ribbon work and ribbon embroidery, metal work, and recycling of fabrics and lace.
I use seed beads, glass beads, botanicals such as coconut shell, bamboo, seeds and woods, sea shells, coral, pearls, gemstone beads, bone, copper and silver wire, copper sheeting, cotton threads and yarns, lace, recycled denim and silks.
I hope you enjoy looking and hopefully owning one of my One-of-a-Kind designs.
